Dear Yoga Family,
I hope this e-mail finds you all feeling well and taking good care of yourselves.
Events and decision-making around coronovirus COVID-19 have been fluid, sometimes changing moment-to-moment. As much as we had hoped to keep the studio open in safe ways, we can no longer do so: this evening, Teaneck's Mayor Hameduddin issued a statement urging Teaneck's residents to self-quarantine. And so, that is what we will do.
We are temporarily closing the studio; all classes are cancelled effective immediately, until we are able to gather again.
These are stressful times, and yoga, calm breathing, and movement, are more valuable than ever ... which makes it all the more painful to not have the classes at this challenging time.
We are researching ways to use Zoom (an online platform) to offer online classes that you will be able to take in the comfort of your own home. This will take us a little while to organize, so please be patient as we set up ways to continue to practice together "virtually."
Private sessions using Skype, Facetime or Zoom will be available, and this may be another way we can all get through this time in ways that are safe and supportive.
I was happy to see so many of you finding the free Gentle Yoga for Stress Relief class that I live-streamed this past Thursday evening on Facebook! Many thanks to all of you who "liked" the live-stream and sent thank-you e-mails!
Being under self-quarantine can be lonely and isolating, and I hope that, within the next few days. we will have some online classes available to alleviate some of that loneliness.
We are a community, and we will get through this as a community. Let's be sensible by doing what we can to keep ourselves and our community healthy and safe. Be well, stay well, and please be in touch!
Heart to heart hugs to all of you!
Charlotte & the Stone Yoga family of teachers
